Description
Clears debris and maintains work areas within a Distribution Center. Operates a variety of equipment to maintain floors, discard and recycle waste materials in an industrial setting.
1. Operates a variety of floor maintenance equipment for detailed cleaning of selected areas.
2. Drives forklift to transport and remove waste materials.
3. Operates trash compactor and baler to dispose of and recycle waste materials properly.
4. Performs a variety of light cleaning duties as needed.
5. Performs all work within established safety guidelines.
Qualification
1. Basic English skills including the ability to communicate and process information required.
2. Prior experience operating forklifts, floor scrubbers, floor strippers, trash compactors, balers and basic hand tools preferred.
3. Must successfully pass in-house training program for powered material handling equipment operator’s license.
4. Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including the ability to lift, carry, push and pull a minimum of 60 pounds on a consistent basis required; bending, standing and walking on a continual basis required.
5. Ability to perform duties without immediate and constant supervision required.
1. One to three years previous administrative/clerical experience is required.
2. Ability to type 60 WPM and familiarity with a variety of software packages including but not limited to Word and Excel is required.
3. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills is required.
4. Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling and punctuation.
5. Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all associates within immediate department and other departments and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
6. Ability to handle multiple tasks, be detail oriented and maintain confidentiality. 7. Ability to perform administrative and clerical duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision.
8. Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace within a Distribution Center environment including walking, bending and lifting is required.
