Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining windows in various residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The Window Fitter will ensure that all installations meet safety standards and client specifications while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities

• Install windows using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Repair and replace damaged windows as needed.
• Ensure proper sealing and insulation of windows to enhance energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, to complete projects.
• Read and interpret schematics to determine installation requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installations.
• Will be required to travel to required working areas

Skills

• Proficiency in building, plastering, welding, masonry, roofing, and painting is advantageous.
• Must have relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification
• Strong understanding of window fitting techniques and materials.
• Ability to carry out onsite surveys is essential.
• Experience using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Previous experience in carpentry or related fields is beneficial but not essential.
