About The Role
Are you an experienced Welder looking for your next move? We are currently looking for you to join our team within the busy service centre.
In this role as a Welder you’ll be joining our Plant Attachments specialist team. The UK’s largest supplier of hydraulic excavator attachments and have served the demolition, construction and rail industries for more than two decades.
You'll be responsible for repairing and maintaining all Plant Attachments equipment, performing inspections and managing all repairs, reporting of any issues. Your key duties will be;
  • Performing inspections of equipment
  • Welding, Fabricating and manufacture metal parts
  • Production of strong and clean welds
  • Taking care of the welding machine and other equipment
  • Maintain a safe working environment within the stores areas, observing all current Health and Safety including basic house keeping
  • Perform any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the department and company

To succeed as a Welder you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience in welding and fabrication
  • Knowledge of safety precautions related to occupational hazards procedures and practices of the trade
  • Able to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues
  • Flexible and self-motivated, you’ll take the initiative and be keen to embrace new training opportunities
  • Great communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Effective administration, planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT/Computer skills. MS Office including Excel and Outlook & experience of database entry
  • Driving licence
