Swansea - Building Surveyor (Construction Related Degree, Associate RICS, MRICS, or MCIOB)

About the Role We are looking for a motivated Building Surveyor with a Construction Related Degree, Associate RICS, MRICS, or CIOB accreditation to join our team, contributing to impactful, sustainable property solutions across the UK. This role involves travel (approx. 25,000 miles annually) to conduct on-site assessments and inspections. Responsibilities and Requirements
Surveying and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive Property Surveys, Home Buyer Reports, Retrofit Assessments, Borescope Inspections, and EPCs. Deliver precise, data-driven reports with tailored recommendations that focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
Defect Analysis and Retrofit Solutions: Identify repair and maintenance needs, recommend retrofit solutions, and provide clients with expert guidance based on sustainability best practices.
Client Engagement: Foster strong client relationships, address inquiries promptly, and ensure a smooth process from assessment to reporting. Excellent communication skills are essential to clearly convey technical insights.
Professional Standards: Stay current with RICS and CIOB regulations, market trends, and sustainability practices, maintaining a high standard of work that meets industry guidelines.
Technical and Organisational Skills: Proficiency in property inspection, valuation, and relevant software, along with strong self-management abilities, is essential to handle projects independently and prioritise effectively.
Travel Commitment: Ability to travel nationwide, with a projected annual travel requirement of around 25,000 miles, supported by a car allowance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or related construction field.
Knowledge of sustainability, retrofitting, and surveying principles.
Familiarity with RICS standards and building regulations.
Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Commitment to professional growth and obtaining relevant certifications.
Associate RICS / MRICS / CIOB accredited
