As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Senior Health, Safety & Environment (H,S & E) Advisor to ensure compliance and promote best practices across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior H,S & E Advisor, you will be responsible for driving our safety culture and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards. Specific accountabilities include:
Internal Audit & Compliance:
Develop and participate in internal audit programs to support continual improvement across relevant functions.
Compile and present comprehensive H, S & E compliance reports, including alignment with business objectives.
Management System Certifications:
Assist in the development, attainment, and maintenance of required management system certifications and accreditations.
Ensure all required documentation is up-to-date and in line with industry standards.
Emerging H,S & E Issues:
Highlight and raise awareness of emerging H, S & E concerns within the business. Lead investigations into root causes and corrective actions (RC & CAPA).
Sustainability, Ethics, and Social Responsibility:
Implement and monitor best practices in sustainability, ethical standards, and social responsibility, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Policy & Procedure Development:
Support the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of H,S & E policies and procedures, including integrated standard and emergency operating procedures.
Compliance Management:
Ensure all works onsite and offsite comply with organisational and legal requirements, including:

Waste management
Lifting operations & lifting equipment regulations (LOLER)
Provision and use of work equipment regulations (PUWER)
Working at height
Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR)
Accident, Near Miss, and RIDDOR reporting

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in a senior Health, Safety & Environment role, preferably within manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of H, S & E regulations and management systems.
Experience with audits, compliance reporting, and risk assessments.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent.
