Sales Assistant - Gifts
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sales Assistant will work mainly within the Gift department of the garden centre, providing assistance and support to both customers and colleagues, ensuring great service is delivered and the centres high standards are maintained.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Provide exceptional service to customers in the centre, to deliver upon our reputation for quality.
▪ Engage in physical tasks, including lifting, sorting and moving stock across the centre.
▪ Assist with incoming deliveries for the gift and other departments, which includes offloading the delivered stock and stocking merchandise in the stockroom.
▪ Assist with the processing purchase orders, stock transfers & use of Opsuite stock system.
▪ Ensure the storage areas are kept clean, tidy, organised and safe at all times, in line with company standards.
▪ Ensure high standards of housekeeping is maintained across the department.
▪ Assist with merchandising and replenishment of all stock in the gift shop and houseplant area and houseplant care.
▪ Serve customers at the till point & processing sales when required.
▪ Perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time-to-time e.g. painting displays.
