Riversway Operative
RIVERSWAY OPERATIVE
Permanent, Full Time - 37 Hours per week
Grade 7 - £28,770 - £30, 296 per annum
A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join a small team who are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the dock infrastructure at Riversway, which is essential to the safe movement of vessels. This diverse role provides an ideal opportunity to be involved in Preston’s dock estate, undertaking lock master duties, for which full training will be given, as well as undertaking general cyclical maintenance and reactive repairs to the infrastructure around the dock and along the river.
Due to the unique nature of much of the work involved, we are looking for someone with an aptitude to learn on the job and to be prepared to undertake training where required. The Riversway docklands are an important part of Preston’s rich history and this is an ideal opportunity to become part of it.
