Strathesk Medical Practice based in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, is looking to recruit a Medical receptionist. The practice provides a high-quality service tailored to meet the needs of our 8,600 patients. Working as a Medical Receptionist is a busy and demanding but varied role. The successful candidate will have a friendly and helpful manner, good communication skills and work well within a team to provide high quality support in the daily running of the Practice. We expect an excellent telephone manner and a good level of empathy. Our administrators carry out duties such as:- · Reception work in the form of care navigation · Making appointments · Answering enquiries · Maintaining confidentiality · Using software (EMIS, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel etc) · Dealing with internal and external mail · Emailing and scanning duties · You will also be a point of contact for patients, doctors, and other medical professionals Previous experience of working within a medical administrator/ reception role is desirable. Previous administrator/reception skills are essential. Hours - 22 hours per week Monday – 8.30-4.30 (7.5hours) Tuesday – 8.30-1.00 9 (4.5 hours) Wednesday 8.30-1.00 (4.5 hours) Friday – 12.00-6.00 (6 hours) A degree of flexibility will be required to cover staff holiday periods.
