Location/Division Specific Information
Inchinnan, UK Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD). Manufacturing facility producing liquid and powder media for customers in the global biotheraputic, vaccine, and cell and gene therapy markets.
Role Objective:
Supports the Manufacturing Planning Team in the timely creation, communication and maintenance of production schedules which are accurate, achievable and focussed on customer satisfaction through delivery of key performance metrics.
Key responsibilities:
Support lead Planners in the preparation of supply plans which are stable, capacity and material feasible and aligned to customer requirements.
Collaborate across functions to maintain accurate reporting of site metrics with focus on OTTP (On Time to Promise), LIFR (Line Item Fill Rate) and backorder targets.
Analyse inventory levels against defined targets and make recommendations for improvement actions.
Analyse and maintain E1 ERP planning data, such as order policy, value order policy, freeze fence, reorder points, lead-time, EOQ, raw material and planning data, WIP planning, BOM & Routings.
Support the review and improvement of department procedures and work instructions.
Drive efforts to optimise the planning tools suite.
Coordinate with all departments to ensure the best customer experience.
Support continuous improvement and operational excellence processes.
Education/Experience:
Experience of a Planning role in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong understanding of supply planning principles.
Planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment using MRP/ERP tools (Made2Manage, Oracle ASP, JDE, server-based systems).
Proficient in handling and analysing data in MS Excel.
Strong verbal and written communicator
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Works accurately and logically paying attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and develop
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Works in an office/operations environment.
