As a Team Leader you will lead and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary Logistics team within the Building Constructions Products Division. The Team Leader is the important link between the Section Manager and Team Members.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Reinforce our Values in Action following People Quality Velocity Cost
  • Be able to continually monitor audits of stock daily
  • Lead, motivate, support, evaluate and recognise employees.
  • Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and safe working practices and report appropriately.
  • Undertake training and further learning as required for the Team Leader position and the BCP Safety Recipe.
  • Communicate across departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Proactively review daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved.
  • Evaluate production methods and maintains focus, with team input, on promoting the continuous improvement of processes and products utilising lean, Six Sigma and drive innovation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills
  • Cost reduction system experience-
  • Experience of the BIQ process, reporting defects, root cause analysis.
  • Experience of safety/quality auditing, HOPS, Standard work, Inventory, Risk Assessment and Packaging Standards
  • Possess a good understanding of Logistics practices and knowledge of material systems
  • Experience leading a team within Logistics environment


Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • A current Forklift Truck license
  • BSC Certificate in Risk Assessment Level 2
  • Relevant National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2/higher or equivalent

Job Title: Team Leader - Logistics
Contract : 12 Month Secondment
Salary: £33,800 rising to £37,500 once fully competent

Benefits: 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays - opportunity to buy and sell, Bonus, Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%, Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution, optional flexible benefits including access to private health and dental care plans, EV car lease etc
