Job introduction

Brighton & Hove City Council's statutory homelessness services have undergone a modernisation programme in response to changing legislative landscape and customer focus. This has created a number of vacancies in a new service which aims to emphasise excellent service provision. This Homelessness Prevention Officer post is offered as part of this service transformation.

About the role

After redesigning our Homelessness & Housing Options Service we are offering a role for a Homelessness Prevention Officer with relevant experience. This role is part of our Homelessness Prevention Team, providing a high level of case working expertise and discharging statutory duties to homeless applicants.
We welcome enquiries and applications from a broad range of candidates who can offer the right standard of customer focused service. Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Team and service working arrangements are designed to support both employee work life balance and team collaboration. These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining.
Working arrangements are subject to Government guidance at the time. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
