We're looking for a First Responder to join our Firmus Gas Networks team based in Newtownabbey.

Location: Northern Ireland, Newtownabbey- site based with regular travel required
Contract: Permanent, Full-time

What will you be responsible for?
As a First Responder, you'll be working within the Firmus Gas team, supporting them in ensuring the swift, safe and effective response to gas- related emergencies to protect lives, property and the environment.
Your day to day will include:

• Responding, repairing and reporting of Public reported gas escapes and fumes including third party network damages, including Emergency First Response – daytime and on the 24/7 out of hours rota.
• Install, exchange & repair a range of gas meters from U6 – U40 domestic and industrial & commercial in accordance with regulations to ensure inlet/outlet pressures meet specifications.
• Record accurate meter serial numbers and readings on installation record sheets, and report hazardous field situations.
• Domestic battery and regulator maintenance activities.
• Complete industrial & commercial maintenance activities, entailing function verification and DSEAR upgrades in line industry standards.

• Driving Licence
