Overview: The purpose of this position is to assist with the management of the finance function with respect to the Group’s revenues. This includes reviewing, recording and reporting on all the Group’s revenue streams as well as providing guidance for senior management to make business decisions in the long and short term. It also requires oversight of the team members who work within the revenue function of the finance department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the recording of all revenue related transactions to ensure they are done so accurately and by the relevant deadline.
Monitor and review the day-to-day revenue related operations within the team, such as invoicing and royalty calculations.
Answer complex questions on revenue related queries.
Ensure appropriate financial processes and controls are in place and are being followed.
Provide ad hoc information and reports on revenue performance as required.
Work with the business to understand new commercial models and ensure they can be calculated in the billing system, and if not how they can be accommodated
Assist with internal and external audits as and when required.
Manage the team and demonstrate leadership skills.
Organise and accurately assign responsibilities to team members.
Appreciate and encourage the work of the team, increasing productivity and motivation.
Manage the training & development needs of team members.
Involved in any necessary recruitment for the team.
Qualifications:
High degree of numeracy
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Part-qualified ACA/ACCA
Excellent MS Office skills and an advanced user of Microsoft Excel
