Job Overview
The Family Intervention Worker will provide comprehensive support to families, children, and adults facing various challenges and working with the local health trusts. This role involves delivering tailored interventions and support strategies to achieve long-lasting positive outcomes for everyone. The Family Intervention Worker will work closely with families and children to assess their needs, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: · Conduct thorough assessments of family situations to identify needs and strengths. · Develop and implement family and individual support plans in collaboration with other professionals. · Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support to families and children facing complex issues. · Offer person centered support to children, focusing on their emotional, social and educational needs. · Develop and implement intervention strategies to address specific issues such as behavioral problems, trauma, or developmental delays. · Work closely with schools, and other agencies to coordinate services for children. · Manage a caseload of families and children and respond to crisis and need inline with the organisation policies and procedures. · Manager your own workload and diary commitments, ensuring commitment to high quality services for all families/individuals referred to the service. · Advocate for families with the community and connect them with necessary resources and services. · Adhere to NISCC standards of practice and promote service user involvement throughout interactions. Requirements · Minimum Level 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. · Hold a current driving license valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. (where disability prohibits driving, this criteria will be waived if the applicant is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements. · NISCC registration · Experience in the use of IT including at least one of the core packages i.e. Outlook, Work, Excel, Power Point. · Experience in managing and supporting a team in a challenging environment.
