The main focus of the role is to support the Head of patient safety in: Leadership of the patient safety team Implementation and delivery of the patient safety strategy Overseeing the delivery of national and local CQUINs related to preventing avoidable harm Ensuring that there is an open and honest culture and that duty of candour is fulfilled as part of the management of incidents. Ensure Delivery of regulatory compliance, assurance and learning occurs when things go wrong Providing, expert advice on the patient safety agenda in the Trust and making tangible reductions in patient harm Delivering the vision that realises the Trust's ambition to be a world-class service and secure national renown for improvements in patient safety Overseeing a robust process for the management of patient safety incidents, never events and ensuring that organisational learning occurs as a result.
