Job Advert Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Casualty Reduction Police Support Officer in Aberystwyth.
Note: Interviews will be held on 30/10/2024 in Dyfed Powys Police Headquarters in Carmarthen.
What you will be doing?
To undertake speed enforcement using mobile speed detection equipment. Also, to undertake other Road Traffic offence enforcement.
  • To set up and operate mobile speed detection equipment within a vehicle & operate a handheld speed detection device whilst stood road side to enforce speed limits at sites throughout the Force ensuring all paperwork is completed (please note that the post holder will be required to perform occasional lifting of equipment).
  • To detect other Road Traffic Offences (as directed by the Chief Constable) and ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • To report to the Communications Centre, at Headquarters, passing on details of vehicles which look suspect or are being driven dangerously.
  • To complete statements and documentation with regard to court cases and attend court as necessary to give evidence.
  • To attend a wide range of public events to promote the work of the Wales Road Casualty Reduction Partnership.
  • To provide support to Wales Road Casualty Reduction Partnership Departments.
