Business Systems Support Officer (ContrOCC Project)

For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Rachel.Bolt@cambridgeshire.gov.uk A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the IT & Digital Service as a Business Systems Support Officer to work on a project that is reviewing processes, developing new workflows, reporting and developing training and guidance for our Contr OCC system for a period of 12 months. In a role within the IT & Digital Service you will be working alongside a Contr OCC specialist and the Childrens services to understand how the current system has been built, identifying what processes are missing or require streamlining, building resilience in the team by working to develop appropriate training and guidance for Contr OCC users. The aim of the project is to have ensure as many processes can be automated, and appropriate reporting available to support forecasting and budget monitoring to enable the Council to make savings and improvements. The successful candidate will need to have experience with Liquidlogic and Contr OCC and have a good understanding of payment transactions and processing required across Children’s Services. The team are based at new Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald and there is the option to be able to work from home, depending on the project deliverables and activities required in role. We plan to hold interviews on 7 or 8 October.
What will you be doing? Working within the project will involve
Working for the Contr OCC Specialist to deliver the project outcomes
Liaising with teams to document the current processes and determine gaps and improvements that need to be developed to ensure all financial transactions are recorded within Liquidlogic and Contr OCC, to appropriate guidance and financial standards
Scoping out the design and configuration of new processes, and working with colleagues to build, test and deploy
Scope out reports with report writers to build, test and deploy a suite of reports
Score out training requirements working with the training team to build and implement training and guidance that supports the workforce
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the service
About you You should have
Good attention to detail
Be able to learn new processes and systems quickly
Be able to understand terminology related to the systems in use and be able to articulate content to different target audiences
You must have experience of Liquidlogic and Contr OCC or have worked in a finance role processing payments regarding placements of children with foster carers and other organisations.
