Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing drinks but also ensuring that our café maintains a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about menu items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for change calculations.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the café.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• A friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £9.70-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
