Baker
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. Initially located in Comber before moving to our new Belfast City Centre flagship Store in the next few months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and an understanding of food safety practices. Lamination skills essential. As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring high-quality standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a love for culinary arts. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during food preparation and production. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, adjusting as necessary for quality control. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the culinary or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food production. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
