We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asphalt Plant Operative based at our Tandragee quarry.
The Asphalt Plant, added to our operations in recent years, is one of the most advanced asphalt plants on the island of Ireland. It is a state of the art modern production plant with a range of facilities to compliment the operator in their daily duties.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Asphalt Plant and ensure that the daily production of materials for our inter company and third party sales meet the highest quality standards.
Whilst industry experience would be an advantage, this role could suit applicants from a number of manufacturing and agricultural backgrounds, it’s not what you do now, but what you are capable of doing that matters to us!
Role Responsibilities
Operating the asphalt plant to mix materials to industry quality specifications
Operating the plant in an energy efficient manner
Complete safety and maintenance checks in line with the company’s maintenance schedules
Ensure the greasing schedules for the plant are completed to the manufacturers standards
High standard of housekeeping standards around the plant
Report problems and defects to the site supervisor
Deal with customers orders and collections in a courteous and professional manner
Work as part of a team to ensure the highest quality standards are achieved
Criteria
Ideally the applicant will have industry related experience working as an Asphalt Plant operator however consideration will be given to capable applicants from all backgrounds.
Will have a flexible and proactive approach to meet the operational needs of the plant including overtime and weekend work
Have excellent communication skills
Good time keeping and reliability
