Job Summary.
Warehouse Assistant to look after all aspects of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Processing:
  • Assist with the unloading of incoming shipments.
  • Inspect and verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper documentation and labeling of received items.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Manager.
• Storage and Organization:
  • Safely and efficiently store products in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update the warehouse management system.
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, including aisles and storage areas.
• Order Fulfillment:
  • Pick and pack items according to store orders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of items being shipped.
  • Prepare and label packages for shipment to stores.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Inventory Management:
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or overstock situations.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.
• General Duties:
  • Assist with warehouse organization and workflow optimization.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus.
  • Forklift Driving License is a plus
  • Driving License is a must
• Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) – certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Personal Attributes:
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).

Work Environment:

• The role involves working in a warehouse setting, which may include exposure to varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
