Procurement Officer-Furniture Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee the purchasing of materials, supplies, and services necessary for the production of our furniture. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the furniture manufacturing industry, strong negotiation skills, and a valid UAE driving license.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality materials (e.g., wood, fabric, upholstery materials) that meet production requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the production team to maintain an optimal inventory of materials.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet Plumsheep’s standards for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Cost Management: Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality. Negotiate prices with suppliers to secure the best deals.
  • Logistics Coordination: Organize the transportation and timely delivery of materials to the factory. Regularly visit suppliers and vendors.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and inventory levels.
  • Driving Responsibilities: Visit local suppliers and transport smaller material purchases to the factory when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of furniture production materials and suppliers in the UAE.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Experience:
  • Procurement of joinery or furniture production items: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
  • UAE Driving license (Required)
