Designer-Detailed drawings-Furniture Manufacturing

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Designer/Draftsman to join our team at Plumsheep. As a key part of our design department, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and technical designs for bespoke furniture, ensuring that each piece is meticulously crafted to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed furniture design drawings and technical schematics using CAD software (Auto CAD, Solid Works, or similar).
  • Collaborate with designers, production managers, and clients to understand design requirements and translate them into precise, manufacturable plans.
  • Ensure all designs comply with the company's standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetics.
  • Modify and update existing designs based on client feedback or production constraints.
  • Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve design issues during manufacturing.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all design drafts and revisions.
  • Liaise with the sales and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction from design to final delivery.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Designer or Draftsman in the furniture manufacturing industry, preferably with experience in upholstered or bespoke furniture.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Auto CAD, Solid Works, etc.).
  • Strong technical drawing skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of materials, construction methods, and upholstery techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of furniture production processes and technical aspects of furniture design.
