The Procurement Manager at Al Ain Mills will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and management of raw materials, specifically wheat, for our flour manufacturing operations. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials while maintaining strong supplier relationships and adhering to company policies and standards.
Ø Sourcing and Supplier Management:
ü Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of wheat and other raw materials.
ü Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.
ü Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Ø Purchasing and Inventory Management:
ü Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
ü Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
ü Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials.
Ø Quality Assurance
ü Ensure that all purchased materials meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
ü Work closely with the quality control team to address any issues related to raw materials.
Ø Cost Management
ü Monitor market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
ü Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Ø Compliance and Documentation
ü Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
ü Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Ø Team Leadership:
ü Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Required Qualifications
ü Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
ü Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
ü Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
ü Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
ü Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
ü Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
ü Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
ü Experience with wheat procurement and an understanding of the wheat market.
ü Professional certification in procurement (e.g.CIPS).
