Logistics and Dispatch Controller

Job Description:
Overview: Asnani Steel Industries LLC is a leading provider of high-quality steel products in the UAE. The Logistics and Dispatch Controller oversees and manages the logistics and dispatch operations within a steel manufacturing company. This role ensures the efficient and timely distribution of steel products while coordinating with various departments to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, coordinate, and monitor transportation and logistics operations.
2. Optimize routes and transportation methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
3. Lead ERP implementation relevant to Logistics, Warehousing, and Dispatch.
4. Create and excellent system for dispatch of finished goods, with efficient scheduling and routing.
5. Be attentive and responsive on time to client requests and concerns for dispatch-related matters.
6. Implementation of a system to store materials, having mapped out the journey on from raw material to finished goods to the delivery bay.
7. Overlook on-loading and off-loading of products from delivery vehicles. Create a system for route management, delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and supervision of these respective areas.
8. Accurate inventory logging of materials via ERP for dispatch.
9. Overlook routine servicing of all vehicles in the fleet, and efficiently procure for these services.
10. Advise and implement labelling methods like barcoding, RFID tags.
11. Advice on improvements to system – for effective transportation.
12. Stock and procure factory consumables for dispatch and logistics effectively.
13. Prepare and maintain daily production and dispatch reports.
14. Prepare and maintain daily stock that includes raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
15. Prepare daily sales report of customers that includes daily average price.
16. Prepare and maintain summary of all items being produced, sold, dispatched (collected or sent).
17. Prepare and maintain raw material arrival report.
18. Prepare and monitor material return reports from customers.
19. Develop and implement inventory control systems and practices.
20. Coordinate with relevant teams for purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, and processing.
21. Perform regular stock checks for onloading and offloading and reporting any issues to the management.
22. Schedule and perform regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
23. Prepare daily attendance record for dispatch workers including overtime.
24. Prepare and maintain all ISO related documents related to dispatch, logistics, and warehousing.
25. Call for meetings as and when needed, for effective teamwork and inter-departmental relations.
26. Take a leadership role, to bring more harmony and effectiveness to the organization.
27. Escalate any issues or concerns to the management and owners in good time, and always explore and present solutions, when you present a concern or a problem.
Qualifications:
· 3 to 5 years of proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and inventory management practices.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is highly advantageous.
· Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Important Skills You Will Need In This Role:
· Proficient in planning and coordinating transportation and logistics operations.
· Ability to priority tasks, take the lead on certain projects.
· Flexible multi-tasker, works with minimum supervision, has ability to prioritize and organize.
· Able to generate reports, presentations, setting up meetings, take minutes, follow up until project completion.
· Provide support to managers, staff ensure tasks are done in a timely professional manner.
· Properly organize and maintain filing system (digital and physical), with database on excel.
· Decision-making, organizing, staffing planning, controlling, controlling, communicating, and directing.
· You are strategic thinker, analytical in approach, and a result-oriented team player, with a ‘can do’ attitude. You are neat, tidy, courteous, presentable, and professional at all times. You are reliable, demonstrate resourcefulness, adaptability, people skills, and have a passion in solving problems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
