Lathe Machine Operator
Job Description:
A Lathe Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining lathe machines to produce precise metal or plastic parts. This role involves setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and ensuring that all components meet quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up and calibrate lathe machines according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Load raw materials into machines and adjust settings as needed for different operations.
- Operate machines to perform turning, boring, drilling, and threading operations.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubricating components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to company policies and industry regulations regarding machine operation and safety.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities, defects, and machine maintenance.
- Report any issues or deviations to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest improvements to machine operation or workflow to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to stay updated on new technologies and techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a lathe machine operator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Work is typically performed in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- May require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy materials.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
Experience:
