Carpenter (with Machine cutting experience)

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled carpentry tasks, including machine cutting and installation of custom home modifications. This role demands precision in cutting materials to exact specifications using various tools and machinery, along with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carpentry & Installation:
  • Perform skilled carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing wood and other materials as per project specifications.
  • Work with a variety of machinery, including saws, routers, and CNC machines, to ensure precise cutting and shaping of materials.
  • Machine Operation:
  • Operate and maintain carpentry machinery and tools, ensuring proper calibration and safe operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate cuts and assembly.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure all carpentry work meets SABA.HOMES’ quality standards.
  • Inspect and test-fitted installations, making adjustments as necessary to meet the desired specifications.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with the Site Supervisor, Project Manager, and other team members to coordinate efforts and ensure timely project completion.
  • Communicate effectively with clients when required to explain carpentry work or address concerns.
  • Safety Management:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct machine and tool safety checks and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Material Management:
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials (wood, metal, etc.) to meet the precise specifications provided.
  • Track material usage and report any discrepancies or additional material requirements to the Site Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a carpenter with 4-5 years of machine cutting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans.
  • Proficient in using carpentry tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in carpentry is preferred.
  • At least 4-5 years of hands-on experience with machine cutting and carpentry in construction or home modification.
  • Familiarity with the safe operation and maintenance of cutting machines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,600.00 per month
