Junior Troubleshooter – Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Summary:
The Junior Troubleshooter is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with elevators and escalators. Their primary role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of several units under maintenance in their area of responsibility.

The Junior Troubleshooter is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with elevators and escalators. Their primary role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of several units under maintenance in their area of responsibility.
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of elevators and escalators to identify any potential issues or irregularities in their operation.
- Use diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify the root causes of elevator and escalator malfunctions or breakdowns. This includes issues with mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on elevators and escalators, such as adjusting and replacing worn-out parts, including cables, pulleys, motors, and control systems.
- Ensure that all elevator and escalator systems are in compliance with safety regulations and codes. Address safety issues promptly to minimize risks to passengers and maintenance personnel.
- Analyze fault codes and system logs to pinpoint specific problems in elevator and escalator operation. Troubleshoot and rectify these faults.
- Conduct tests and inspections after repairs to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts replaced, inspections performed, and repairs made. This documentation is crucial for compliance and historical reference.
- Communicate with customers and building owners to provide updates on the status of repairs, maintenance schedules, and any recommendations for improving elevator and escalator performance.
- Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and team members to ensure effective problem-solving and a smooth workflow.
- Assist in the installation of new elevator and escalator systems or the modernization of existing ones by integrating new technology and safety features.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism when dealing with clients, addressing their concerns and questions.
- Receive, use and maintain Tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere to all safety and compliance rules of the company.
Education and Experience:
- Mechanical / Electrical Diploma Holder.
- 6 years of experience in the elevator field (Elevator & Escalator Background; preventive & corrective Maintenance).
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personality Attributes:
- Decision-making skills.
- Language spoken: English, Tagalog, Hindi/Urdu.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with safety codes and regulations related to elevator operation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical fitness and agility to access and work on elevator components.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
