Purpose of the Job
To coordinate the activities linked to the special process of Welding during the phases of tender, development (concurrent engineering phase), production till the warranty phase according to the task and responsibilities defined in ISO 14731.
Maintenance of EN 15085 certification of the Site;
Responsibilities
To participate during the tender and the Concurrent Engineering phases integrating the Industrial constraints and rules in order to mitigate risks and optimize costs;
To perform the contract review, in terms of impact on welding activities, for all new project;
To co-ordinate the welding team of the Site for the management of the welding activities;
To guarantee the Industrial objectives in terms of QCD and EHS;
To assure the qualification of the welding procedures applicable in production;
To assure or validate the training and the qualification of the operators following special process rules of the site;
To provide the documents requested by the Quality System Dept.;
To propose, in case of Non Conformity, anomaly, incident, a recovery solution;
To support Sourcing, SQD, SPQD and SQA in order to choice and monitor the sub-suppliers involved in welding activities;
To participate to the Alstom welding expert meeting promoting standardized solution for SAV Site;
To drive the Quality System regarding to the management of welding as special process;
Benchmark with the other Sites and welding expert network;
To plan and support welding audits on the workstations;

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field,
Experience or understanding of industrial welding processes and techniques,
Knowledge of welding standards and quality control measures,
Familiarity with ISO 14731 and its application in welding coordination,
A certification in welding inspection or engineering (e.g., CWI, CWE),
Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams during project phases,
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement,
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams effectively,
Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment where resilience is key,
Commitment to ongoing professional development in welding technologies and practices
