Summary of the Role
IT Site Coordinator, IT Workplace Services will be responsible to coordinate and manage the provision of critical support to the business, provide the local coordination and planning for projects execution, develop and maintain the partnership with the local management and business users, maintain constant communication between subsidiary business and Global IT teams, work in partnership with the Regional IT Manager and the Workplace services team in Mumbai. Up to 20% travel would be required to support the Istanbul office with potential to travel to other locations within Europe and Africa/Eurasia for specific project work or business meetings.
Responsibilities include:
IT Site Coordinator, IT Workplace Services will be expected to:
- Build and maintain an effective relationship with the local management and the business users
- Keep local / subsidiary management up to date with IT projects and strategies, while aligning local needs with global Smart Factory initiatives
- Understand and communicate plant / subsidiary business needs to GIT organization and support the subsidiary management through the project planning process
- Act as a liaison with the Regional IT Manager in order to escalate and resolve subsidiary and business issues and requirements and ensure business critical infrastructure issues are resolved in the appropriate manner
- Provide local coordination and planning for infrastructure grid projects
- Understand and ensure local alignment with GIT standards, policies and procedures
- Coordinate and manage with relevant people any system performance and reliability issues to include plant floor systems, server, network, application, security and other responsible teams
- Ensure audit compliance through everyday activities and quarterly evidence gathering processes
- Making sure to keep documents updated for every year ISO 27001 certification
- Track local IT costs and leverage cost savings opportunities
- Keep all relevant stakeholders (business and GIT) fully informed on plans, progress, issues and risks
- Perform required administration activities to ensure compliance with maintenance policies and security requirements
- Manage PC and IT equipment procurement, replacement and maintenance, including asset tracking, leasing and budget aspects. Manage relationships with external vendors where appropriate.
- Review support issues and provide second level site support as required (e.g. PC, Mac OS, software deployments, email and collaboration tools, mobile devices, AV equipment, Active Directory, LAN/WAN communications).
- Support the IT onboarding process of new employees, including providing access and familiarization to all relevant technology required to successfully perform their duties.
- Identify opportunities for automation to increase efficiency through the use of scripting and/or workflow automation solutions
- Participate and provide expertise to regional and global projects, as required
- Guide software asset management practices locally and globally while maintaining close compliance with Colgate license policies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred majors in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or Business) OR equivalent related work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in an IT support environment. ( preferably in a multinational environment)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and functionality in a fast paced environment, adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals and cultures.
- Technical Expertise: Competent to expert skill level in implementing and supporting the following technologies
- End user devices (PC’s, Smart Phones, Tablets)
- Windows 11 / Mac OS / Server 2021 / Windows Active Directory
- LAN (including CISCO wireless and printing),
- Google G-Suite Workplace
- Basic knowledge of ISO 27001 certification
- Basic knowledge of Fresh Service or any IT Ticketing tool
- Scripting and Workflow Automation experience would be a plus
- Knowledge of VMs, Endpoint management, Nutanix
