Job Description
Identify applicable EHS regulations and evaluate impact to the facility.Liaise regularly with Global and local teams.
Commonise technical EHS solutions across global teams.
Perform inspections and tests to verify compliance.
Identify existing and potential EHS problems.
Integration of Company and facility level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection and safe operating conditions
Organize and control the EH&S functions of the site(s) to ensure that an effective accident prevention program is maintained, that appropriate measures area taken to comply to Corporate, OSHA/EPA and related safety and environmental policies agencies and directives. Ensure that the company stays in compliance with company & client policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws.
Act as a resource and mentor to facility safety teams. Investigate all releases, injuries and near-misses
Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices and develops hazard control practices and programs. Maintain MSDS system.
Conducts periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety and sanitary standards and regulations.
Perform EHS audits and develop EHS training programs.
Monitor EHS performance and recommend priorities and actions for improvement.
Review new products, equipment, and processes for potential risks and recommend modifications before introduction.
May participate in development of EHS program components: operational procedure, work instructions, training material, standards, etc.
Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
Develop standards and work practices with line personnel and monitor conformance through EHS inspections.
Ensure compliance with organisation and government EHS standards.
Qualifications
Min 5 years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments.
Advanced professional EHS certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM etc.) desired
Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, HAZOP, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene.
Advance level of English ( both written & oral)
Good knowledge of Ms Office and Google Suite
Strategic thinking with strong leadership skills and good interpersonal communications.
Strong coaching, facilitating and training skills.
Good Project/Problem Resolution skills.
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
Excellent Oral, Written Communication and Presentation Skills and an Analytical Perspective.
