This position reports to
Local Division Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will have the opportunity to lead a team of HSE specialists. Each day, you will make sure the team keeps developing capabilities and skills, supporting the business in the implementation of policies, practices, and programs. You will also showcase your expertise by driving behavioral change and HSE learning within the organization. This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Energy and Process Industries business in Thailand, under the ABB Corporate policies, guidance, and work processes. The work model for the role is: #onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Energy Industries in Thailand. You will be mainly accountable for: - Serves as the primary HSE interface within their assigned area of responsibility and cultivates a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. - Assists the line managers and supervisors in their respective organization in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE law and ABB management requirements. - Ensures that HSE capabilities are optimized and aligned to standards, processes, guidelines, and best practices. Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively. - Oversees HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented. Ensures the HSE incidents are reported to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions. - Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices. Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization. - Reports HSE performance and progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required. - Participates in determining the annual budget for their own area of responsibility and is accountable for managing performance against agreed financial targets. - Drives HSE-related learning across the organization for continuous improvement. - Ensures feedback is provided to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
Qualifications for the role

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree in HSE or related fields. You have 8-10 years of proven experience working in HSE roles and responsibility.
  • Ability to demonstrate your competence and established skills in HSE field of works.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of HSE subjects with relevant certificates i.e., ISO 9001 Internal Audit, ISO45001 Internal Audit, Safety officer by law, Confine Space by regulation, Fire Fighting, First Aid / AED training, etc.
  • You are fluent communicating (speaking, reading, and writing) in Thai and English languages.
  • Other job skills: Risk Management, Technical\Regulations & Compliance, Process Improvement & Optimization, Administration\Consulting, Planning & Organizing, Strategic thinking, Specialist sustainability knowledge
