PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Production Technician & Quality Control Intern will support all the activities of the division, collaborating and assisting the senior colleagues on the manufacturing management and product quality control for the Guess Denim Apparel lines.

CORE JOB RESPONSABILITIES

Assist and support the Quality Control Team in the following daily activities:

• Incoming Inspection procedures and sampling and respective reports
• Raising of non-conformance against inspected products and forwarded to suppliers, Product Dept and Production Coordinator for claim
• Raising of non-conformance for out of tolerance rolls and forwarded to Product Dept
• Liaise with suppliers and Sourcing Manager on site to view goods issues
• Maintain up to date copies of all the alterations or amendments in discussion with Sourcing Manager and Product Dept
• Monitor and recording of processing of all samples, swatch etc.
• Customer returns in conjunction with the Customer Service and Production Coordinators
• Continually assess supplier quality and report details
• Deal with SMS Fitting, size set & PPS requests
• Ensure the material and auxiliary materials meet the quality standard
• Support the R&D team in order to solve production issues and to improve the qualitative aspect of garments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion related fields
• Interest and personal attitude in fashion
• Fluent English
• Good knowledge of MS Office; computer experience in any graphic program will be a plus.
• Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines and design calendar
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Result-oriented
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
