PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager operations Jewellery, the Product operations Intern will assist all the developing related to product activities, helping in providing support and solutions to ensure the operational efficiency of Guess Jewellery product team.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the team in the following daily activities:

• Management of sample archives/prototypes/pop materials (package opening; coordination with GS; office accommodation and storage)
• Tracking of outgoing and incoming samples; relating to MKT activities or sales team needs.
• Periodic storage inventory.
• Verification of the condition of Sterling Silver items stored in storage (example - oxidation check).
• Preparation of the stock for sample sale.
• Stock Retrieval and pick & pack from storage.
• Samples shipment management from/to Bioggio; compilation of the relevant documents; sharing with the accounting department for the issuance of the proforma; Follow up for deliveries.
• Sample retrieval and coordination with mkt team for shooting/activities.
• Support for the preparation of Line Openings assortment.
• Preparation of trays for Distributor meetings.
• Verification of Guesslink web portal/catalogue/e commerce images and coordination with photographer/photo studio in case of missing or adjustment needed.
• Uploading images in Guesslink web portal.
• Database compilation and information/doc retrieval – example- Measures; weights; material Compositions%; test reports.
• Support in analysis (example - collection/sales data)
• Creation of ppt/pdf doc and presentation (also possibly rendering).
• Support in research of materials/techniques/contacts for new potential suppliers.
• Support trend/market research.

Co-ordination among different departments

• Create and maintain strong relationships with all levels and corporate business partners
• Ensure maximum operational efficiency, resolving and following up applicable field and corporate inquiries

Operations

• Apply an effective planning system to ensure proper time management and follow up in order to meet deadlines
• Evaluate and improve current processes aiming for efficiency and streamlining
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Product development/ Economical and/or similar field.
• Any progressive work experience in the product world will be considered a plus.
• Passion and attitude in fashion Jewellery field.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Knowledge of MS-Office (in particular Excel), any additional operational system is a plus.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines.
• Operational, flexible, with a strong sense of urgency, problem solving skills.
• Working on cross-functional and multi-national teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and innovative thinking.
• A good team player.
