The International Communications Leader (ICL) role is a member of the product & portfolio communications team, within Global Pharma communications. The ICL is accountable for end-to-end product and portfolio communications strategies, driving portfolio and commercial objectives through high-impact external communications. This person plays an integral role on the product lifecycle team, providing counsel to the Lifecycle Leader and the Integrated Strategy Leader.

Given the nature of this position, you will be expected to flow to work of the highest priority as required. You will work closely with various cross-functional partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to, affiliate communicators, corporate communications, internal communications, media relations, investor relations, Global Product Strategy and Product Development therapeutic area and franchise leaders.

Core responsibilities:

• Accountable for product & portfolio communications strategies and deliverables
  
• Leads the development and implementation of Global product & disease area communications plans, including strategy, tactics, and resources
  
• Identifies, prepares for, and manages communications activities for issues related to the assigned topic(s)
  

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred science, business, communications) and 10+ years in communications with a focus on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or related healthcare industry (preferably communications agency or similar experience)
  
• Have clarity of conviction while working closely with c-suite executives
  
• Be commercially focussed linking short and long-term objectives
  
• Digital and social media native while retaining expertise with traditional media
  
• Background in planning and executing public relations campaigns
  
• Clear understanding of compliance and legal regulations
  
• Fluent in written and verbal English
  
• A proven track record of creating network connections within a matrixed and multicultural environment, bringing different functions together to collaborate and driving cross-functional activities to a successful conclusion
  
• Strong storytelling skills, excellent editorial judgement and a passion for language
  
• Ability to travel globally
