The Fdration Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) is the governing body of motor sport and the federation of the world's leading motoring organisations. The FIA is an international non-profit association.
OVERVIEW:
The FIA is modernising its organisational setup, processes and systems. The general ledger accountant will participate in the transformation of the accounting function within their area.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Accounting :
- Participation in annual and interim closings
- Reconciliation of general accounts
- Monitoring sub-ledger accounts receivable and payable of two small entities
- Recording closing entries
- Customer reminders (small entities)
- Management of fixed assets
Tax :
- Monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Declaration of trade in goods (DEB)
- French annual fee filing
- Follow-up of withholding tax
Stock :
- Management of the stock inventory
Social :
- Process payment of payroll entries
- Reconciliation
Other responsibilities :
- Participation in various departmental projects in line with the objectives of improving the productivity and efficiency of accounting processes
- Filing and archiving
- Management of Financial Report - three small entities/subdivisions.
PROFILE:
- Master's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and/or French accounting standards.
- Experience in tax / VAT filing.
- Experience in closing process and reconciliation.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (ideally Sage X3).
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Pragmatic, result-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality, thoroughness.
- Professional fluency in English, another language would be a plus.
