Join Vertiv as our Finance Controller ✨
The Financial Controller is the person across a particular country who is Accountable for the Financial Controllership activities performed within that country, reporting into the EMEA Group Controller. The Financial Controller have as their financial engine the Cluj Finance Shared Service Centre (GBS) which is responsible for ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of the accounting data.
What You'll Do:
Ensure accurate monthly accounts for the Country Business per Company guidelines.
Produce Statutory Financial Accounts in compliance with Local GAAP, IFRS, and IAS.
Prepare monthly accounts for US GAAP consolidation.
Follow a compliant Financial Close calendar for reporting.
Regularly perform account reconciliations and review P&L and Balance Sheet.
Produce and ensure quality of statutory reports per regulatory requirements for regional subsidiaries.
Oversee country audit processes, including statutory, tax, and regulatory audits.
Continuously review financial controls to maintain accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
Manage Country Consolidation process and reporting timetable for Vertiv International GMBH.
Implement SOX compliance with written controls for all finance processes.
Ensure EMEA working capital compliance and timely reporting to Group Treasury.
Identify risks and ensure proper provisions.
Support EMEA Controller with strategic and tactical project information.
Assist in business integration or demerger processes.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in a controlling role, ideally with an audit background.
Chartered accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
Demonstrable experience in implementing and using ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
Strong interpersonal skills;
Advanced Excel skills;
Fluency in German and English;
Self-starter with the ability to manage a varied workload and drive change processes.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Potentially long working hours during monthly and annual closing. Daily presence in Company’s offices is required, with limited possibility to work from remote (to be negotiated and agreed).
