As a Financial Accounting and Controlling Manager, you willoversee GL Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Project Management activities to ensure transactional accounting, financial control, statutory and IFRS reporting, and consolidation for assigned entities.
Key Responsibilities: GL Accounting:
Manage GL accounting activities across assigned entities, ensuring ownership at both general ledger and project levels.
Oversee monthly closing activities, reconciliations, and controls, including intra/intercompany reconciliations and timely balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
Prepare financial statements (IFRS and Swiss law), including reporting packages, translations, reconciliations, and consolidation.
Ensure accounting policies and procedures are up-to-date, aligned with IFRS and Swiss law, and implemented across entities.
Maintain effective communication and provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Manage SAP modules, including interactions with other ERP systems, maintenance of accounting hierarchies, and foreign exchange revaluations.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for operational and financial audits.
Prepare pro-forma financial statements and other forecasts as required.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Act as the primary interface between the Finance department and other departments.
Lead budgeting and financial forecast processes, ensuring continuous improvement of tools and solutions.
Provide timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting and analysis, including gap analysis, cost and revenue drivers, KPIs, budget, financial forecasts, and treasury flows.
Project Management:
Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to implement Finance department and corporate initiatives.
Support the Finance department through tools/reporting training and guidance on technical accounting matters.
Drive standardization and continual improvement of business processes, including financial and management systems.
Qualifications:
Swiss Certified Accountant certification or equivalent.
Proven experience in providing high-level support within top international corporations or consultancies.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and Swiss law), financial governance, and audit practices.
Proficiency in English is a must; conversational French is an advantage.
Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and reporting tools such as SAP-BW, Business Object, or Power BI.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
