What you will do In this role, you'll take ownership of the software architecture, acting as the primary contact for stakeholders and colleagues regarding embedded software design. You'll play a key role in guiding our product's strategic direction by staying updated on the latest technical trends and market developments through a close dialogue with e.g. product management. You will also contribute to the development in C/C++ of camera-based sensor systems within an Embedded Linux environment. Your role will also include:
Working with the team to solve customer challenges and needs using image processing techniques and AI on embedded devices.
Assisting in building and maintaining software test environments, ensuring it meets the requirements for delivering high-quality applications to customers.
Collaboration with colleagues in the rest of the product development organization, mainly in Germany. You will also work with external service providers and engage directly with customers.

We believe you have a good understanding of Linux based embedded software systems architecture and the ability to tailor discussions about the platform to the appropriate level, whether you're collaborating with Project Managers, Product Managers, or colleagues from other departments. You’re someone who isn’t afraid to make necessary decisions to prevent delays, and you’re eager to grasp the true needs of the project by engaging directly with customers to ensure their requirements are fully met. To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
A degree in computer science or similar, or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience working as a system architect or similar in embedded systems.
Good knowledge C/C++ and Python
An understanding of UX principles and methodologies.
Experience working with embedded vision systems and embedded Real-time Linux, Yocto, RTOS and ideally multicore development.
Knowledge of development/Dev Ops and simulation tools, for example: GIT, JIRA, Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory and more.
