Our focus is on water heat pump and solar water heating systems, as well as photovoltaic (PV) solar systems for the domestic, industrial, agricultural, and hospitality market sectors. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Stock Administrator to join our team and manage our inventory and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing stock levels, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records to ensure optimal inventory management. Key Responsibilities
Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock situations
Enter purchase details (vendor information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases
Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
Track shipments and address any delays
Oversee storage of products
Verify receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete
Pack stock for team according to picking slips
Evaluate suppliers' offers and negotiate profitable deals
Coordinate regular inventory audits
Ensure teams' picking slips are filled in accurately and timely
Load all bills from suppliers into the system and balance supplier statements to purchases monthly
Requirements and Skills
Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role (3 years preferred)
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Working knowledge of inventory management software and training in bookkeeping
Experience in running inventory audits
Excellent organizational skills
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Post-matric qualification (Diploma preferred)
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel)
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Ability to analyse problems and strategise for better solutions
BCOMM degree or trained bookkeeper qualification preferred
Additional Information
Full-time, permanent position
Work hours: Starting at 7:30 AM
Salary: R8,000 - R12,000 per month, dependent on experience
