Rooms Division / Deputy General Manager Cape Town

A luxury 4-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking a highly motivated Rooms Division / Deputy General Manager. This role requires an experienced professional with a background in front office, housekeeping, and guest services, as well as the ability to assist the General Manager in daily hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the rooms division operations, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Assist the General Manager in managing the overall hotel operations and maintaining high service standards.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to enhance guest experience.
Manage department budgets and expenses, ensuring financial goals are met.
Lead, mentor, and train departmental managers and staff to maintain a high-performance culture.
Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and service standards across all rooms-related departments.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
Assist with forecasting, revenue management, and ensuring high occupancy levels.
Handle guest complaints and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

SA citizen.
Recent experience in a management role within a rooms division in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
Strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, and guest service operations.
Leadership experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., Opera or similar).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
A passion for delivering outstanding guest service and team development.
