Reserve Manager | Limpopo
JD Specialized Recruitment is assisting a Reserve in Limpopo to recruit a highly experienced RESERVE MANAGER
Requirements
– Ecology
– Animal population dynamics, supplement feeding program of large herbivores and predator-prey dynamics
– Security/anti-poaching program
– Aerial game census and game capture plus animal well-being
– Eradication of alien plants and bush encroachment program, controlled burning, firebreaks
– Sustainable use of water resources
– Acting as liaison with Government Department of Environmental Affairs and other stake holders and organisations and community
– Oversight of Reserve maintenance, reserve staff management and related administration

Requirements
- Related degree or diploma - minimum qualification is a B-Tech Nature Conservation degree or similar qualification with preference (MTech preferable)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Previous experience within the following areas:
– Ecology
– Animal population dynamics, supplement feeding program of large herbivores and predator-prey dynamics
– Security/anti-poaching program
– Aerial game census and game capture plus animal well-being
– Eradication of alien plants and bush encroachment program, controlled burning, firebreaks
– Sustainable use of water resources
– Acting as liaison with Government Department of Environmental Affairs and other stake holders and organisations and community
– Oversight of Reserve maintenance, reserve staff management and related administration
- Strong administration, time management and organisational skills
- Excellent leadership, staff development and communication skills
- Computer literate
- Stable employment history and contactable references.
