KEY PURPOSE OF JOB As part of a major growth strategy, a component and sub-system supplier to the international satellite market is seeking a production administrator to provide support to the production team through scheduling of production jobs and all production administrative activities through the production process to ensure that all production jobs are closed off in due time KEY TASKS
Assists the Production Manager in the execution of projects by performing a wide variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to the timely management of production jobs
Responsible for issuing production job sheets and related documents to the production team aligned with the production plan
Assisting the production team with the completion of tasks in the manufacturing management system (coordinating thereof)
Ensuring that the transaction reviews are completed on a regular basis and that the operations are synced to Syspro
Responsible for requisitions, floor stock issue and material allocations for production on Syspro and ensure it is handed over to the production team
Responsible for ensuring that the stores team adhere to the kitting plan and to communicate and escalate any deviations
Responsible for managing the kitting room process this includes; receiving kits, checking for shortages, handling paperwork, and administering serial numbers, while ensuring a smooth handover to team leads
Ensuring all production documentation is accurate and up to date
Other ad-hoc duties as required by the company
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualification
National Senior Certificate
Diploma or Certificate in administration, secretarial studies, office management or a related field will be an advantage
Experience & Knowledge:
At least 5 years of administrative experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment
Computer proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems
Syspro experience will be an advantage
