Online Reservation Consultant is responsible for all calls, reservations made through Online Travel Agents for all properties within the client’s portfolio.
Responsibilites:

Accurately record and process reservations made and come through via Online Travel Agent platforms (i.e. Booking.com, GDS, Expedia, Agoda ect) in the Property management system (Opera)
Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc and ensure these are updated and inline on each system, both OTA and PMS (Opera)
All reservation details: special requests, arrival times, value adds etc to appear on correspondence accurately and in PMS - properties to be aware of guest’s special requests
Maintain knowledge of special rates/ offers/ promotions
Follow-up on all provisional bookings and ensure that the bookings are confirmed with deposits / full prepayments where applicable and based on the policy of that channel.
Follow up on all peak bookings within the client’s portfolio, ensuring that online bookings are confirmed and updated
Ensures that profiles of arriving guests are updated on the system, with correct email address and contact number.
Ensures that all booking notes are correctly updated on the bookings to ensure the highest level of service standards.
Maintains all changes and updates of bookings as per guest request and/or Online Agent notification received.
Ensure that reservations that are not fulfilling operational standards are cancelled in accordance with channel policies and this is communicated to the guests.
Update No Shows and Cancellations in the Property Management system and the channel accordingly and in line with channel policies.

Requirements:

Applicable Tertiary Qualification Industry related will be advantageous
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar position in a luxury hotel group sector.
Familiar with all duties and procedures in the Reservations Department for a Hotel. Knowledge and understanding of Online Travel Agent platforms, Channel Management systems (Nightsbridge, Site Minder) and Opera PMS preferrable
