Mechanical Site Installation Lead
S4 is looking for an artisan/mechanical engineer with experience in leading a team. The role will involve supervision and management of machinery installations on the customer’s site.
This position does involve regular travel to sites around South Africa and less frequently abroad.

JOB DUTIES:
- Leading on-site employees including daily workloads and unplanned breakdowns.
- Understand the requirements of the customer’s site ITO delivering/collecting/erecting material/equipment and parts.
- Communicate with customer and project engineer.
- Read engineering drawings/assemblies and layouts.
- Co-ordinate activities with customers and other contractors.
- To work to health and safety, environmental and all other regulatory standards applicable to the operations.
- Acting as main technical adviser and coordinator on site.
- At least three years of experience in leading a team
- Mechanical engineering diploma or trade test
- Previous work experience in an industrial automation environment
- Specialized machine building experience (advantageous)
- A driver’s license is required
- Own mode of transport is beneficial
