Manager Resilience and Climate Change
Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree is required and a relevant
Master’s degree is preferred.
- Eight (8) years’ relevant experience
Key Performance Areas
- Oversee the implementation of the strategic direction
for city – wide climate change response and resilience
building
- Identify, monitor and report on contextual shocks
and stresses which the city must navigate
- Support the continuous maturity of the climate
change response and resilience building efforts in the
context of the prioritised shocks and stresses
- Build, manage and maintain stakeholder relations
with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct reporting on the climate change response to
internal governance structures, other spheres of government
and international organisations, as required.
- Develop programmatic, transversal responses to
occasional shock events and longer term stressors
- Maintain administrative systems across the branch
in accordance with City policies
