Requirements:
- Matric
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef in a bakery, restaurant, or similar 5-star establishment (Essential)
- Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipment
- Creative with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, especially during night shifts
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for long hours
- Food safety certification or training (Beneficial)
- Strong time management and planning skills to prevent waste
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and bakes a variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, muffins, croissants, etc.
- Decorates baked items with glazes, icings, and other edible decorations
- Works night shifts independently and ensures all baked goods are ready for service
- Maintains accurate records of baking operations and inventory
- Plans production to minimize wastage and ensure quality
- Trains and mentors junior staff in baking techniques
- Ensures cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards in the baking area
Package on Offer:
- R apply below per month (Depending on Experience)
- Live-in position
- 21 days on / 7 days off
