General Assistant - Kitchen
We are looking for a General Assistant to join the kitchen team to support with general kitchen and dining room duties as well as to assist with Function Setup, Stock Control and rotation to join the kitchen team as soon as possible.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
· Correct storage of deliveries
· Restocking fridges and recording details on Stock sheets
· Assisting with serving customers using the SMART card cashless system
· Basic food and beverage preparation
· Washing up and cleaning and tidying of the catering department areas after service
· Setting up for functions and ensuring that all equipment, crockery and cutlery are returned to the kitchen at the end of function and signed back into stock.
· General maintenance within the kitchen eg doing high pressure hose cleaning and sanding down of equipment
To be considered we require :
· Grade 12 preferably with Mathematics.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Hospitality Sector preferably in a Front of House role.
· Very good communication skills in English.
· Strong physical strength as this position requires lifting of boxes approx. 15 kg and carrying of eventing equipment up and down several stories in the school.
· A team player willing to learn and go the extra mile.
· Valid driver’s license.
