Front Office Manager. Ultra Luxury 5* Boutique Hotel Mooi River KZN. Requirements:-
English – excellent English communication & written skills.
At least 3 – 5 years front desk experience in a 5 Star Hotel environment.
Knowledge of front desk procedures, reservations & financial transactions.
Previous experience with Hotel Management Software – Semper.
Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and be able to deal with them efficiently and calmly.
Strong time management, supervisory, leadership & management skills.
Customer service-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Prepared to work hospitality hours, and willing to work extended hours when required to do so.
Duties:-
Oversee all aspects of the Hotel's reception, including inquiries, reservations, guest payments, agents commission (STO Agreements), supervision & training of receptionists.
Ensure that all rates are set up correctly, charged correctly and checked regularly
Ensure effective communication between reception, housekeeping, food & beverage divisions
Ensure effective communication to coordinate guests’ arrivals, departures, special requests, maintenance issue reports
Manage the reservations and payment system ensuring accurate guest information, payments, and room allocations
Manage Debtors
Check and ensure that Day ends are correct
Maintaining Guest Data Base
Drafting Receptionists’ Monthly Roster
Hosting when requested to do so
Room checks when requested to do so (late arrivals and when Rooms Div Manager is off)
Reporting directly to the General Manager
