Requirements:-
- English – excellent English communication & written skills.
- At least 3 – 5 years front desk experience in a 5 Star Hotel environment.
- Knowledge of front desk procedures, reservations & financial transactions.
- Previous experience with Hotel Management Software – Semper.
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and be able to deal with them efficiently and calmly.
- Strong time management, supervisory, leadership & management skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Prepared to work hospitality hours, and willing to work extended hours when required to do so.
- Oversee all aspects of the Hotel's reception, including inquiries, reservations, guest payments, agents commission (STO Agreements), supervision & training of receptionists.
- Ensure that all rates are set up correctly, charged correctly and checked regularly
- Ensure effective communication between reception, housekeeping, food & beverage divisions
- Ensure effective communication to coordinate guests’ arrivals, departures, special requests, maintenance issue reports
- Manage the reservations and payment system ensuring accurate guest information, payments, and room allocations
- Manage Debtors
- Check and ensure that Day ends are correct
- Maintaining Guest Data Base
- Drafting Receptionists’ Monthly Roster
- Hosting when requested to do so
- Room checks when requested to do so (late arrivals and when Rooms Div Manager is off)
- Reporting directly to the General Manager
