The job description and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:
Media Agencies and Platforms: Interfacing with media and SEO agencies, and platforms to ensure excellence of our current and future campaigns, based on business and marketing needs. Determining the most efficient and effective ways to track, refine, and innovate digital marketing campaigns while always maintaining brand consistency with the broader Allan Gray brand. Understanding the daily, weekly and monthly “levers” that media agencies and platforms offer, and assisting with managing these.
Brand Team and Content Team interface / Creative Agencies interface: Assisting to ensure that digital marketing collateral meets the Allan Gray needs in terms of brand, tone, messaging and craft.
Tracking and Reporting: Creating, refining, testing and maintaining tracking and reporting for marketing campaigns as per the needs of the Marketing Team and broader business stakeholders. Managing, creating, refining, maintaining and testing tracking and reporting across platforms used by Allan Gray marketing, and from agencies. Providing business and marketing insights from these reporting tools for a range of stakeholders.
Allan Gray.co.za (public-facing site): An ongoing understanding of the content, features and functionality of the Allan Gray public facing website and how these meet clients needs. A working knowledge of how to add, edit, track and monitor campaign related elements across this space.
Social Media: An ongoing understanding of the content, features and functionality of the Allan Gray social media presences and platforms, and how these meet marketing and clients needs. A deep knowledge of how to build, track and monitor campaigns across these spaces – and deliver post-campaign analyses and in-campaign adjustments, tweaks and refinements. Assistance with posting, reviewing and monitoring content on social media channels.
The role also requires:
- A keen ability to understand business needs for marketing campaigns
- A provable ability to assist with planning and assessing marketing campaigns and other marketing efforts (for example events and thought leadership pieces)
- The ability to explain and even “evangelise” what digital marketing can do to support “traditional” marketing, and grow our brand, and deliver on acquisition and retention
- A keen interest in understanding long-term ROMI, and providing marketing insights
- A desire to grow the excellence, effectiveness and efficiency of the Allan Gray suite of digital marketing campaigns
